Provide Food and Emergency Assistance

More individuals and families with children are seeking assistance than ever before and there are fewer resources available to help those in need from falling into despair. Currently, JFS only has the funding to help about 10% of the more than 150 families who call for emergency assistance and food everyday. Donate Now to this Program.

Rescue Kids’ Scholarships

The JCC provides scholarships to parents who have hit hard times, so that they don’t have to pull their kids out of the JCC’s nurturing early childhood center or summer camps. But with demand for scholarships so high, and funding so far down, dozens of these children’s scholarships are in jeopardy for next year. Donate Now to this Program.

Invest in a Jewish future

Studies show the number of years a child attends Jewish day school has a greater impact on Jewish adult involvement than any other variable. There is no better assurance for the future vibrancy of Orlando’s Jewish community than a strong Jewish day school. But scholarship requests are soaring and assistance can’t keep up with demand.                                                        Donate Now to this Program.

Combat Bigotry and Promote Respect

The Holocaust Center’s Teachers’ Institute and monthly teachers’ forums prepare area educators to teach about the Holocaust, so that they in turn can inspire the new generation to rid the world of prejudice, anti-Semitism, and racism. Help us keep the lessons of the Holocaust alive.                                             Donate Now to this Program.

Save Shabbat on Campus

Over the past year, Hillel provided more than 1,600 Shabbat experiences to students at UCF and Rollins. Without immediate aid for next year, they will only be able to provide a fraction of that number and will have lost the most successful tool for creating Jewish memories and strengthening Jewish identity in college. Care for the Frail

Kinneret is one of 29 facilities in the U.S. funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development for a program which transitions the elderly to independence after suffering an illness or injury. If our community does not provide matching funds, the government grant — and the program — will be lost.

Comfort the Community

Last year, the community rabbi visited more than 600 community members including visits to hospice patients and nursing homes. In keeping with the highest Jewish ideals of individual dignity in life and death, the rabbi provides end-of-life prayers, funerals and memorial services for unaffiliated households. Save the Israel Partnership

The partnership program with the Israeli city of Kiryat Motzkin has brought Israel closer to our community and our hearts, by fostering opportunities for growth, collaboration and mutual understanding. By supporting this program, you can ensure the ongoing exchange that benefits both communities.

Engage the Next Generation

Or Hadash reaches young Jewish adults at a time in their lives when their personal life decisions will shape their individual Jewish journeys, making Or Hadash essential to Jewish continuity.   Help maintain the outreach efforts and programming essential to connecting these adults to the Jewish community. Donate Now to this Program.

Remember the Elderly

The Jewish Pavilion serves 200 elderly Jewish residents in 44 facilities in Orlando. During holidays especially, the Jewish Pavilion reaches out to these seniors and validates their Jewish identity. Without funding, the holiday programs will be compromised and those seniors who are the most isolated will be most at risk. Donate Now to this Program.

Educate Teens Jewishly

Beit Hamidrash is the only program offering regular Jewish educational opportunities for Jewish teens. For many of the students, Beit Hamidrash is their only connection to the Jewish community or expression of their Jewish identities. Ensure that 200+ teens each year continue to grow Jewishly.
